Since the 80s, The Four Kings have ruled the Ring. Marcus the Mountain, El Torro, Candy Kid Cassius, and Tommy the Viper! Enter Challenger: will you have what it takes to defeat them all?
Hook, Jab, Parry and Mash the buttons to knock down your opponent before the Countdown ends! Launch a counter attack; charge a heavy attack to steal time back! But don't you dare give up Challenger! Train with Steady Eddie and Coach Rocco to sharpen your skills before you:

How does this fit the theme?
The round timer is your health. There is a continuous countdown you can extend by perfect parrying, counterpunching, or doing heavy attacks. The goal is to beat the rival before you run out of time.

I think all the art went where it matters and that's in the middle of the screen. I think if more time was spent on the background, the game would of suffered greatly under this timeline for the GameJam. Picked the right things on the list to get right. The animation is beautiful, you aren't rewarded for spamming clicks, you really need to feel it out, and when you do it's so rewarding. Super Fun, and greatly inspired!
